Re: Something For The V-DUB Guys....

It is indeed the Revell GTi. I had intentions of following you with the widebody Rieger (i think that's how it's spelled) kit. But today when I picked up the GTi and some styrene sheet, they were out of tamiya expoy putty. So, I used the goofy, but still cool aero parts. I needed to use the flairs because of the wheels I'm using.

Where you planning to use your hood scoop thing? I'm probably going to have to make a new one for the hood to clear my air cleaners for the dual carb 283.

Don't mimick the Reiger cars...they don't look so good.

Mimick a Rallye Golf, the greatest A2 EVAR!!!!

take a look at the all smiles uk golf tuning companys demo car the interior is amazing, stripped carbon everywhere, shame i cant find any photos! seen it for sale in redline (uk tuning mag) for £15000 (about $27,241) and worth every penny (cent) of it.

as for the revell kit im a bit confussed by the fact they didnt put out a big bumper for the standard kit (1990 onwards spec look)! looks better on the real car so why not the kit? and there going to be a pain in the butt to scratch build

i'm not making any hood scoop, it will be clean (german style )
but it's a great idea to put a v8 in a golf
and those goofy fender flares where with the kit right?

Re: Something For The V-DUB Guys....

Nice ingredients, should look cool when finished.

I'll be following the progress

For those who wants big bumpers for their Golf, Scale production makes a transkit for the Revell Gti 'Tuner series' to transform it into a GL.

Take a look --> Scale production
