Re: few questions about the s15...

Try the Silvia forum.

There was no S15 sold in the US.

i have yet to see one imported to the US. if anyone does do it, it will probably for race only considering it still costs about $25k in australia. yea i know they import skylines for a lot more, but then again those RB engines are killers

Re: few questions about the s15...

It was never sold here however a few have been imported. They're usually registered as off-road vehicles and trailered to tracks to represent the shops that own them. I don't know of any privately owned S15s in the US.

Yeah I don't think so.

The 200SX is this squat little punk ass car, at least here in the states. Someone else say that the few they are here are racing or drift cars and that's true. (Plus think about it, if the S-13, PS-13, 180SX AND S-14 are all labeled as the 240 SX in america, why would they go back and label the S-15, 200sx?)

I mean of course I could be mistaken, which then I'd like to see a car with the 200sx badges on it...

Re: few questions about the s15...

The Silvia and 180SX were called the 200SX in the UK and Australia. That's probably what chrisellis was talking about.

Re: few questions about the s15...

Yeah, here in America, the 200SX is the Sentra SE-R coupe from 95-98. With about 140 hp and front-wheel-drive, it's hardly an S15

Re: few questions about the s15...

In the US, the 200SX was also the S12 Silvia, albeit with an FJ-series four and a VG-series V6.

The s12 never came with am FJ in the US. It was CA- series na/turbo (CA20E and CA18ET). If it did, would'nt more people tune it?

On second thought... probably not.

Re: few questions about the s15...

in australia the S-13 & 180SX are known as silvias, and the S-14 & S-15 are known as 200SX. most people just call the S-15 a silvia since their from the same sort of group
