Rim's N' Bodykit

I have a bone stock 1996 2 door Chevy cavalier.

I would like to know what size of rims would fit it, i'm sorry if this was allready posted, but if it has i must be blind

I would like to get 17's, and if they would fit, what size, 40's? hopefully nothing smaller.

And if they wont fit, how much $ in mod's to make em fit.

Also if anybody is intrested in body kits for cav's post your fav's. here. So far this is mine:

For 95-99

and all chev's together

Thanks for the help!

Re: Rim's N' Bodykit

The biggest you can put on there is a 17x7.5" rim with a 42mm offset..you can go about 2 mm either way without worry about anything...Then again if you lowered it i wouldn't go with a 7.5 wide i would stay with 7" even... Unless its a z24 which i'm thinkin it is not... you can have 18x7.5.... I am a fan of the Bomex kits because i have a sedan and i think that would look the best on my car. G'luck with the mods man.

Re: Rim's N' Bodykit

if i got lets say 17x7"s with a 40 mm offset, what size of tire would i need, and i looked at my car, and the front spring seems ot be only 2" of the stock 14"s with 70 series tires. is that cool??

thanks

here man, go here for your tires and rims http://www.rimstop.com/home.asp ..if your on dial up then screw it, it takes to long...you can choose your cavy, color, rims, tires and it will tell you if it fits or not...when the page loads where it asks you to choose your tire size, theres a link right above it that says, "view wheels on your vehical" go there and have at it..hope that helps

Re: Rim's N' Bodykit

here's a few more sites to look for some rims to suite your fancy...

www.tirerack.com
www.superbuytire.com

I'm not sure what size your going to need for that. If you go on those sites they will tell you. G'luck man. If i had the money i would be ridding on some dope rims, but i am settling on buying a set of Z24 rims off a 95 for 100 bucks. Besides i've never seem a set of those on a sedan.. ;-)
