I have a Stereo Question....Please HELP ME!!!!

Hi there- I need help....I have a 2001 plymouth neon, and I have an eclipse stereo, nothing fancy just a CD player, it's an in dash. Okay here is what I did! I disconnected my battery, once I hooked it back up I have an error on my stereo now. It will not power on...does anyone know....what the heck I do. I really, really don't want to go spend 75 bucks an hour for a guy to reset something, or change a fuse.

Does anyone out there know what I can do?

Thanks
Shannon

Might not help, but check the fuses and your connections and make sure they're correct before you replace a fuse!

Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

Don't know a whole lot about stereos but i'll throw my 2 cents in. If you have an owners manual try trouble shooting it. Or call a repair store, sometimes they can help over the phone and it keeps you out of the position of having them look at your car. Check the fuse on the back of the reciever also.

Check your remote wire...usually its a blue one. If you wind up having to replace a fuse make sure you still have a good ground.

Check your remote wire...usually its a blue one. If you wind up having to replace a fuse make sure you still have a good ground. Check the wires behind the console with a light tester. Leave the car off, connect the pos tester side to the remote wire and the pos to a good ground somewhere non the chassis. then turn the key to ACC, the light should come one, if not check fuse or for broke wire. Lemme know if this helps.

On Eclipse stereos, once the power is disconnected you need the security disc to gain access. If you are the original owner of the stereo, then you should have that disc. If you are not the original owner, I suggest you contact Fujitsu/Sen (maker of Eclipse) and let them know your scenario... Good luck.
