Running Board Installation
My son has a '96 Grand Cherokee and was given a set of Aluminum tubular running boards that will fit this vehicle. Upon looking under the chassis at the frame I did not see any pre-drilled holes for the mounting brackets of the running boards. Would large diameter ( 1/4" to 3/8" )sheet metal screws be sufficient to fasten the brackets to the frame? Or should we try to drill holes in the frame to accommodate long bolts?
Thanks for your advice.
