Re: all motor vr6 vs srt vid

vr6's make power uptop, that's what they are known for.

My friend has a 93? I believe corrado slc vr6 with a nuespeed pflo intake that they say is worse than a stock airbox but it came like that and he has 2 of his 3 mufflers removed I think.

he raced my friend with an ls hatch and the hatch was ahead until they hit 4th gear thats where the corrado started to pull and he pulled hard. He also pulled my buddy with a gsr swapped sol over 105mph

Re: all motor vr6 vs srt vid

I was refering to take offs. I am not to sure about going through all the gears since it was a dealer car I was mashing on also it was a tdi golf so not sure if it makes a difference. I feel a lack of power up top on the one I drove. I am not sure about the older ones!

lol. a TDI golf? that's the deisel version. of course there is going to be NO top end. it's not a car that is meant to have ANY end, low or high.

Re: all motor vr6 vs srt vid

What are the specs on a VR6, is that a turbo 4-cylinder?

Also what is all equipped on the VW called R32? It looks really nice, leather seats and all that, quality for a VW.

Re: all motor vr6 vs srt vid

vr6 is a 6 cylinder

so is the r32, most new vw's come with leather heated seats and ton's of features.

Re: all motor vr6 vs srt vid

The vr6 is vw's narrow-angle 6. It makes 170-ish horsepower and torque, and sounds downright badass. I think the r32 comes with awd, bbut I may be confused.

That was pretty badass how the srt reeled him in like he did. The race kinda reminds me of the race between me and 97tsi. I didn't get the lead like the vr6 but we stayed even for a while when we raced from a dig then I'd just get walked after around 40. When we were on the freeway it was like how the srt took the vr6 as soon as they started. He had the same kinda top-end advantage.

Tell you what smart guy what was so funny about that! Hey I don't drive VW's at all exce[t for that one time at the dealer. I was trying to choose M3 or Golf apparently I went with something with more balls! So my point is I have no clue about the vehicle period. So How am I not suppose to know about it no having top end or what! Most other turbo cars I have been in don't lack power up top!

its more than narrow angled, its got some weird sort of piston alignment that makes it take up less room than a standard V6, without losing displacement. hence V"R"6. it also makes around 200 hp, not 170. (well, a few years back it was 170ish, now its 200)

the r32 comes equipped with the narrow angeled V6 that was in the base model passats (with a little more tuning of course) and AWD.

for a few grins check out hpa's r32 at www.hpamotorsport.com

oh, and nice vid
