Where's all the 3rd gens???

Hey everyone. I'm just wondering if I'm the only 3rd gen (almost)owner on AF. No one seems to know about timing adjustments for the 3rd gen, and almost all discussions are about the 4th gen or vq engine tech. Is there any third gens out there??? Also, if you are and are knowledgable about timing advancement, please advise.

Louis

Also, I've noticed much talk about the newer vq engines and the 4th gens having extrememly strong engines, allowing them to run 100 shots, etc. Is the third gen max (92-94, DOHC, 3.0) engine just as strong. I don't have any ambitions to run nitrous, but you never know. Thanks

so there's no 3rd gen maxima's huh? Well, me neither, the guy selling the car didn't want to bargain on a car w/ problems (many) that was overpriced $200 above the Excellent condition's retail. Sh.thead. I'll be looking for a 4th gen now

i'd say 90% of the people here are 4th genner's and up.
you're better off in a 4th gen anyway. they're the lightest models and pack a real good punch and are extremely underrated amongst the general population. they make real good sleepers.

yeah, I'm in the process of looking for a 4th gen, I'm loving the huge gain of a y-pipe. I didn't think there was that much of a difference in weight. I'm also loving the 0-60 times of a 4th gen. 6.6-wow, that's faster than an n/a 300zx. Hopefully I'll be getting one soon. Thanks guys
Louis
