Steering Wheel Questions

Ok, I was thinking about maybe replacing my steering wheel with an aftermarket one but isnt the airbag an important thing? Seriously. I mean if you crash wouldn't you be dead? Who's replaced their's and crashed and is still alive in here? Anyway, any good wheels other than Momo and Sparco? And where to get em. I've checked ebay and they only seem to have some SPW and Tenzo R wheels. Oh and only black/silver. Hate all colors.

Re: Steering Wheel Questions

i dont think that stearing wheels without airbags are legal. ware your seatbelt ALL the time, unless you want a perminent impression of your new steering wheel in your forhead. there all expensive. i've only looked a little, i'll ive found were around 200 for a decent looking one. did you try sparco's website?

Re: Steering Wheel Questions

Ok, but everyone in a crash before there were airbags and seatbelts didn't die. Why exactly do you want an aftermarket steering wheel?

In the lower speed crashes they can do more harm then good. like in the case of my dads old laberon, where we were in a crash @ 35mph and the car only totaled because of the air bags. But i think they do help in the high speed crashes. Personaly they scare me alittle bit and i dont like them at all.

I was just considering it. Then again, I'd like to spend the couple hundred on some power mods. Some of them look pretty nice though.

Im almost positive that if a car comes stock with airbags, it is illegal to remove them, and yes, an adapter is required for an aftermarket wheel. I know sparco makes one
