My frist time getting pulled over (aka not a good day)

im 16 and in iowa we have this wonderful graduated licensing system (meant sarcasticly) where if you f*ck up once you're almost certanly going to lose your license well i was heading back to my friends house after picking up some friends and feeling like a total badass ('cause i just got my car and licence and am the first one of my friends to have them,) well i turn on to this side street and im cruisin along talkin to my friends when one of them saiys "hey dude thats a cop car" in the space of 2 seconds i look into the other lane see the patrol car with no light bar, i look down to my speedometer (40) and over the the speed limit sign i'm passing (25) and say "and im speeding" like a chump i started to slow down but the guy was already turning around... i pull over and stop as soon as i see his lights and im thinking "go around... PLEASE!" he stops right behind me "I'm toast" i turn off the radio and get all my shit together the officer apears suddenly at my window and the first thing he says is "41 in a 25... nice. can i see your (yadda yadda yadda)" i handed him my stuff and he says "I know you from somwhere" he eventually says i had him for dare and i think i did so i said yes. he mentions that if he tickets me i would lose my licence for at least 6 months then he went back and ran the plates he came back and said "Ok consider this a beleated birthday gift... im gonna give you a warning but don't do that again" he also mentioned that he was happy we all had seatbelts on and that was one reason he let me off. I've never been that scared in my life but i realized something: i worked to damn hard to get my car and licsense to p*ss it all away by going a little to fast also it's true being polite to the police is a good idea I didn't really like cops but he was really cool about it but i no longer feel like im the ultimate badass... I'll stick to being the driver in my group of friends... and Hopefully I won't do somthing that stupid again I am an idiot
