Ext. Service policy 04 GTP

Hi to all,
Are the extended service policies worth it? I know that could be difficult to answer as there are a lot of what ifs?

personally i say no, unless you want to make it easier by buying it while you buy your car. you wouldn't believe the kind of mail you get after a purchase about extended warranties and etc. most of the time too the extended warranties only cover powertrain and engine. at most dealers the warranty costs 1500+ and you can buy or rebuild a transmission for half that and purchase another motor if you know where to shop. other offers say they will include everything on the vehicle even body work, but i've never bought any of them and have never had a problem i couldn't fix myself or with a little guided assistance.
