Question '95 GS Tranny Question

I am in the process of getting the motor in my '95 GS rebuilt, and a transmission guy looked at mine while the tranny was out. He said that he wanted to change the Input and Output speed sensors (ISS & OSS) with an "updated" pair and an "updated" solenoid block, reseal it (due to leakage), change the filter, and put in a new bushing kit. He said he would charge me $300 for everything. Do you think this is a good deal, and if so, what are the advantages of the new "updated" version of the solenoid block and ISS & OSS?

man it all depends, "updated" does that mean new or what? i would because you have it all apart, so whats an extra 300? personaly i would replace it. but before i would do it i would check a few other places and see if you get the same or close to the same answers. if they all tell you different things then go with your gut feeling. But that is what i would do.

Yes "updated" does mean new, also he showed the new solenoid block to me. It is completely remodled, and the ISS & OSS are brand new. I think i'm going to do it because the parts order list he showed me totaled up to $230, so he's only charging me like $70 for labor since the tramsmission is already out.
