How much would It cost to get a 3rd gen into the mid 13's?

I am looking at getting a 3rd gen for ana ll aroudn car, road racing, scca solo 1, drag etc.

I know for the road racing I will need subframe connextors and new strut tower braces. Steering support brace and tubular k member. and other parts.

But what I need to know is what they run stock, and what will it cost me to get one to run around 13.5, nitrous?

Also any kind of good mods are appreciated.

Re: How much would It cost to get a 3rd gen into the mid 13's?

not alot. lets assume your doing the work yourself.

- 50 bucks - junkyard 062 casting Vortec heads
- 399 bucks - vortec baseplate for TPI
- 300 bucks - headers
- 145 bucks - torsen rear end with gears
- 400 bucks - B&M transkit with stage two shift kit
- 16 bucks - corvette 1st - 2nd servo
- 350ish bucks - cam kit xtream energy hydrolic roller computer compliant cam

that should give ya easy mid to low 13s for less than 1500 on top of the purchase price. assuming starting with the car you specified.

Re: How much would It cost to get a 3rd gen into the mid 13's?

should be, however there is another 60 buck???? kit from soggin dickey performance center to make the EGR functional, as the heads dont have this provision. get emissions legal headers, and stick with a mild cam, XR258 or so, and you should be fine.

yeah ive seen that kit, not bad, but i dunno, i guess im one of those purists your talking about if i found a wrecked hulk that already was missing the front clip, and was a perfect cantidate for that body kit, id probly do it though.

note, you have the most confusing sig ever. pic of a goat, twin turbo lettering, BMW emblem, and a nissan website lol.

In stock trim a 5.7L or a 5.0L with 5 spd manual should beat out around 14.5 times. If you were to upgrade the rearend, get the car to look up better, and do a few performance mods im sure you could break into 13s no problem.

I think you meant hook up.

The Kit I want uses custom rims

Rear- 12.5 by 17 335/35/17

I think that should hook.
