Re: ATTN: People With Shaved Door Handles

you should get a rod, and custom bend it so that you can put it anywhere you want.

do you need power door locks to put the shaved door handle kit cuz i got a dx and i bought the autoloc 50 shaved door kit but the place tells me i need power door lock in order for the kit to work but i was wondering cuz back in the days the hot rods and lowriderz didn't have power door locks but they had shaved doors

Re: ATTN: People With Shaved Door Handles

the "solenoids" are nothing more than push pull motors that you attach to your existing handle linkage, or you can make your own linkage and put then inwhere in the door cavity as stated above

Re: ATTN: People With Shaved Door Handles

In my old crx i mounted the solenoids where the doorhandle went on the inside, and made a bubble out of fiberglass to fit over the solenoid in each door panel..then pop riveted the bubbles into place on the door panel and wrapped the panels in tweed..but thats just me i liked the idea of no door handles since everyone has them on the inside..

hehe, side note on this thread, how much did you folks pay for the new door handles without the key lock?

the "solenoids" as people call them are ACTUALLY called actuators
they are motors that push a rod out when polarity is one way and pull a rod in when it is opposite.

nothing like a solenoid, so no, starter solenoids willnot work.

and just so everyone knows, im not busting your chops for calling them solenoids, as i do alot too.
