OOOOOH...you have to becareful with your back windsheild!!!!
you do not want to ruin your defogger!!!

i went to a professional to ask a few questions and he told me that he can't be sure if the defogger lines will work after he takes off the tint.
check with a professional.

i personally have never remove tint...so i'm not sure.
i have only applied tint to my windows

best of luck to you

I remove tint a couple times a month at work and all I can say is that those back windows are a bitch. The quick way is with a razor but if you knick those defrost lines they are not gonna work. you can heat it up abit with a blow drier and then start the edge peeling up with a razor blade then just keep pickin at it. The glue is another pain especially on the back window. Glass cleaner will work it is a little slow though. there are a couple specialty products you can use to for adhesive removal. It will take some time but if you are patient it will turn out great in the end.:smoka:

Send a message via Yahoo to LX98Civic
let a professional remove the pieces that are on the defogger.

The rest is pretty easy with that tint removal stuff from wal-mart

Simple!!!

I thought i would kill my defroster lines but they all turned out good!

On your side windows, you can go to walmart and get tint off! Works very good, just rip the old tint off, then there will be adhesive left on the window, spray on the tint off, or you can make a solution of diluted water and ammonia, works about the same as tint off, just spray over the adhesive and scrape with your razor blade, it will all come off pretty quick!

Now for the back window, go get some #000 or #0000 fine steel wool!
I was told to soak the back window, then lay black garbage bags on the window, and spray ammonia on the inside of the window and lay more black garbage bags in the inside of the window trapping the ammonia, and park the car in the sun for about and hour 1/2! The idea is too heat up the tint as good as possible so when you peel of the tint the adhesive comes with it, but for me it didn't work like i planned it, so i used tint off or diluted water and ammonia, and i scrubed the shit out of the back window with #0000 fine steel wool, It took some time, because of the small space you have to work with, but it all will come off with patience, and the good thing is you wont fuck up your defroster lines, just don't take a razor blade to the back window, use the razor blade for the sides only!
Any more questions just ask!

I have pulled tint a few times.. I take a hair dryer, straight razor, windex, and newspaper... the tint even if it is crappy should peal off pretty good.... Get it started in the corner then take the dryer and start heating it as you pull.... Pull it flat though with the glass not out it will break and take forever.. After you get it off spray the windex (with amonia) All over it and let it set... Then take the razor and gently scrape... I even done the defroster that way and it was fine as long as you keep the blade flat and don't slice just push.... Then that will take the glue off... Fishish up with the final cleaning with the windex and newspaper.... Newspaper because it doesn't leave lint!!! Works every time!!!!!
