I have a 97 Accord EX, 4 door and just bought a new set of 6.5" component speakers from infinity online for my front door speakers, and they have 4 screws to hold them in at the door, whereas I believe my stock speakers only have 3 screws. Can someone confirm this, and, does anybody sell some sort of adapter rings that would give me the ability to mount the infinities in my doors? Any suggestions/parts locaters would be great. Thanx.

Re: 6.5" front door speaker adapter rings?
not the same car (94 civic) but I had to turn my speakers at an angle (maybe around 20-30°) to match up with the holes and only used 2 holes but they are holding fine for me. Maybe try to see if that works.

If that is the case try self tapping screws.

Use some mdf and make a ring, attach it with the 3* screws, then attach your new speaker to that...

When i got some infinity speakers they came with a metal adapter ring, was sort of a universal thing, had slots for different screw places. Had to tilt it alittle bit but it worked. The Speakers i got were the 6002i.
