I usually use a toothpick with a bit of tamiya compound on it, just keep dipping the toothpick into the tube collecting a tiny bit of compound at a time & rub the paint off very gently. If you scratch the windshield then you can continue the procedure with a tiny cotton rag instead of the toothpick. Then polish up the windshield with Tamiya wax.
Good Luck, Mike

Re: i need help with my windshield

i think its better for you not to gamble urself using toothpick.. just use cotton buds and use the compound.. it will help better.. but if ur thinkin to repaint.. i hope u know what to do.. just remember not to scratch it.. once its there... then u will sleep in tears looking at the ugly mess

Re: i need help with my windshield

Compound is a very fine abrasive paste that various companies make for polishing paints and plastics.

Re: i need help with my windshield

Toothpaste isn't the ideal thing to use, but you could use it if you're very careful.
Toothpaste is a little more abrasive than compound so you want to keep it wet the whole time with water.

Remember to work carefully and slowly.

Re: i need help with my windshield

Toothpaste is great, I have used it to take small scratches out of alot of things, in fact i think my watch face is more toothpaste then glass.

Mat.
