ABS/ETS warning lights....
Hello all,
I have a 97 Grand Am, 150k miles...and have a problem with the ABS and ETS warning lights randomly going off and on... I assume it may be a wheel sensor...can anybody tell me where the sensors are located (front & rear).... so I can clean/check them??? Thanks in advance, Chuck |

You can't clean them, but you can check them. In the front, there on a bracket going behind the rotor, into the bearings. On the back, they are going right into the axle bearings. Make sure they are plugged in, making a good connections. With a voltmeter hooked up to them, spin the tire with your meter on the ac scale. You should see about 30 mvs. If this doesn't work, you will need the computer scanned for error codes.
Hopes this helps |

Re: ABS/ETS warning lights....
I had the same problem on my 2001 G/A , the dealer told me that the lights are signaling to indicate a worn out hub and bearing assembly, I trust my dealer, considering I watched them replace mine , under warranty, and the lights have not come on since. Just thought I could give you something else to look at.
