Installing Front Camber Kit
Wut up party people? I got some TenzoR springs, dropped my 92 hatch bout 2 inches and now im moving to San Diego which means long road trips back and forth mabey almost every weekend. The thread on my tires is wearing un evenly and i dont want to run the risk of blowing a tire on the freeway. I have read the threads on the "ghetto" rear camber correction, but i feel like installing the front camber kit on myself, dose anyone have the instructions on how to do this? Thanx in advance.

for the rear, u should do the "ghetto" camber kit correction. i have done it to my 97 teg and have no tire wear at all on my rear tires. it's the cheapest camber correction u can get. about 10 bucks!!!! u cant beat that now
for the front, what type of camber kit r u gonna get. i have the dropzone camber kit in the front. they are like the ingalls camber kit but that suck ass alot. the bushings on mine came off the camber kit and it made my ride feel like shit. i had to fix it with some washers but thats a whole other story. if i were u i would spend the 120 bucks and get the ingalls camber kit. or u can even get the skunk 2 camber kit which will run u about 150 bucks or more. if u get the camber kit like the ingalls, this is how is did my install: the one that i put in the car came with the four peices that attches to the Upper control arm. if yours is the one that the four pieces attaches to the upper control arm then this is how i did my install: -ofcourse jack the car up and support it w/ kack stands and remove the front wheels. -look by the wheel well by the front tires and locate where the stock camber is connected to the upper control arm. You will see a 14mm bolt and nut that is on the side of the stock camber. remove the nut. Do this for both stock camber peices. -Now open up your hood and remove the 2 17mm nuts that attaches to the camber peices. do this for both sides of the car. -after u remove the nuts, use a rubber mallet or a hammer and tap the bolts that these nuts were just attached to, down and out of the hole. -now get back under the car by the front wheel well and try to pull the whole upper control arm down a bit. once there is enough room, remove the 14 mm bolt that goes through the stock camber(both sides). once this is done, u can take out the stock camber peices from the upper control arm. with the camber pieces removed, your gonna have to rotate the whole upper control arm a total of 180 degress. (your gonna have to wiggle the control arm a bit to do this). this will give u some room to work with installing the aftermarket adjustable camber pieces. install the new aftermarket camber kit onto the upper control arm. -now the install is the above steps in reverse. (NOTE: you wont be able to use the metal bar that connects the two stock camber pieces) i know it's kinda confusing, but this is what worked for me. let me see if i can get u some pictures.... i have no expierence with the other type of camber kit- the one that replaces the whole upper control arm. its the skunk 2 camber kit. but that one looks fairly easy to install as well.

well the trick is really simple. all u need to do is buy some washers from home depot and some good quality bolts from an automotive store. i cant remeber the size of the bolts, but if u do a search in this forum or on google, u'll be able to find the size.
if ur car is lowered then u will have negative camber on all ur wheels. to adjust the rear in order to give it some positive camber, find the upper control arm in the rear. (it's attached to the frame of the car by two bolts on one side and it connects to the rear knuckle or wheel hub on the other) The side which is connected to the chassis of the car by the two bolts is where the washers will go. they will go behind the rectangular bracket on the upper control arm. remove one of these bolts completely, then loosen the other one. dont remove it all the way as it will be hard to align with the chasis. just loosen it enough so that u can place washers behind the bracket. once u put the washers behind one side of the bracket, screw back the bolt that u had just taken out of the car, but not too tight. then with this bolt in place remove the other bolt that u had just loosened. then do the same for this side of the bracker, i.e. put the same amount of washers behind this side of the bracket of the upper control arm. screw back this bolt then tighten up both bolts to the proper torque settings or just bolt em on really tight. i placed three washers behind the brackets of my upper control arm because i was lowered by more than 2 inches. 2 washers should be fine behind each side of the bracket if your lowered about 1.5 inches. oh, i found the site for this trick, the picture says a thousand words =) http://home.earthlink.net/~civicex95/rearcamber.html
