Cefiro Sports Cruising

I see more and more people doing old cars so I decided to join the crowd with this "BAD" (in a good way) looking car.
It is an Aoshima Cefiro Sports Cruising. It is not really old, but I think it is from the 80s.
Removed the mold lines (not bad for an old kit) and glued the "aero" parts together to see how they fit. Surprisingly they fit like a glove.
I will probably paint it like the box art. What do you think?

Re: Cefiro Sports Cruising

cool. how about chopping out that piece that makes it look like it was a four door (even tho it was) and making it look like a 2 door?

great project BTW.

I'd swap the wheels, probably for Fujimi's 345 RS Watanabes or 345 OZ Wheel Racing's since they've got that radical deep dish thing going for them.

Other than that, this is way wild and definitely cool. Plus it's a clean build-up.

Definately!

Must be a rare kit. I haven't the box art before. Wonder how the rear passengers get out of the car.

86_SR5. Chopping out which piece?

jswillmon. I was thinking about black too, but I read somewhere that black will somehow hide the shape of the car.

Layla's Keeper. Those Kranze Shoki were beside me so I just grabbed them to take the pictures (It was late). I am not going to use them.
Deep dish Wanatabes will look really good, but I think FUJ19124 345 Watanabe is only 15 inches (F-285/40VR15, R-345/35VR15).
I will probably steal a deep dish wheel from another kit. The 1st one that comes to mind is from Koenig Specials 500SL Coupe.

Honoturtle. I was thinking about that too.

That is tight. If you paint it like the box art it should come out pretty nice !

Re: Cefiro Sports Cruising

Deep dishes and dark paint would look hot on that. Nice car, I love Cefiros, ultimate Drifter I reckon.
