Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

Either the alternator was defective.. so get it tested. Or something could be draining it when the car is off.

Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

do you have a aftermarket stereo, turbo timer, amps, anything that has a power line straight to the battery?

Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

there is a power draw somewhere. first I would check all after market wiring first, or see if your door isnt closing, that would keep you interior light on. if your car doesnt die while your driving than your alternator sounds like it is working properly

Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

Happened to me too--ended up being the plastic screw on the brake pedal assembly was broken. The thickness of this screw was what pushed in the button to turn off my brake lights when the pedal is up. Therefore, my brake lights stayed on and drained my battery. Check to see if this might be the case...otherwise is is most likely something similar staying on to drain the battery like people have said. Just observe to see if any lights at all stay on after you turn the car off.

Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

i had the alt tested it tested good, i just put a aftermarket stereo in, but it did the same thing with the stock radio, no turbo timer or amp, no line coming from the battery just the stock lines, i checked the int. lights they all go off, the break lights don't stay on after i get out of the car. it dies about 4 hours after i shut the car off, so got any other ideas

Re: Battery Keeps Dying!!!!!

after you shut your car off take a volt meter and put it on your battery, you should be able to watch your voltage drop from the draw you have. start pulling fusses to try to isolate the power draw. or pull all the fusses and put them in one by one to find the draw. that will help isolate the problem. once isolated then fixing it should be easy.
