check that out, might just be a little faster, as the top speed was not estimated, it ran just over 254 mph on a closed course |

The 427TT Was much quicker off the line.. who can say how fast it would go if it was geared and set up for top speed.

you're absolutely right, ( who can say how fast it would go if it was geared and set up for top speed.)
At least with the hammer, we can say how fast it will go. And I think that was the question at hand. And, with gearing set up for high end speed, it may end up being the same, or slower off the line than the hammer. It is a trade-off |

i still would go for the lingenfelter, the hammer is ugly as hell and has 800hp and the lingenfelter is nice with about 1200hp...

Re: Street Legal Cars Faster than a Lingenfelter Corvette?
the Hammer has 880HP... but what lingenfelter are we talking about because the one I know I could buy has 750HP.
I think this thread intended "faster" to mean higher acceleration not a higher top speed. I don't know of a street car that does faster than a 8.95s 1/4 mile. Lingenfelter has 3.42s right... so waht if we dropped it down to 2.73s, it might surpass the hammer. |
