2k4 Z71

I just got a 04 silverado z71 5.3 for graduation and after previously owning a 2X4 91 silverado, I have no real knowledge on mods.... What I was wondering, my friends are telling me to get flowmaster, and after reading some different posts on this website, the 50's series has been recommended quite a lot... If you have any suggestions on what type of mufflers I should get, then please reply... and friends say exhaust gives better miles per gallon, is this true?

Re: 2k4 Z71

I have dual 40 delta flows on my 97 silverado and it sounds really nice, my friend has a 00 silverado with a single origional 40 but it doesnt sound as loud or deep as mine. If you want to hear different exhausts go to www.exhaustsoundclips.com, but i would recomend that you get 'true dual', pipes never connect, for the best sound and performance. The gas mileage gain is very minimal and in my case went the other direction cuz i always stomp on it to hear the exhuast.
