Question My Cylinder Compression test values?

ok folks, I just had a compression test done on my 89 CRX DX. There was some oil on the number 2 spark plug when we romved it for the test. Anyways, the guage readings are as follows:

Cyl 1- 235 Psi

Cyl 2- 245 Psi

Cyl 3- 230 Psi

Cyl 4- 235 Psi

Can you folks tell me if these values are good, bad, average, within factory spec??? I beleive the oil on plug #2 indicates a worn valve seal. the car has 218,000 miles on it.

Troy

Re: My Cylinder Compression test values?

Was this a dry test or with oil?

Re: My Cylinder Compression test values?

There was oil in the car if that's what you're talking about. Will high compression cause any problems? Should I think about doing some major maintenence on the engine?
