Re: turbo question

you dont need an external wastegate for low boost setting their mainly for hi boosted car and when you really want to fine tune boost seetings.. a internal wastegate is good for a street application.. as for bov,
hks ssqv-hi pitched wistle
greedy gt- a deep pphhhiissshhh sound
turbonetics rfl- really fu*k loud phiissh sound
also the sr20det and ka24de-t dosnt run well with the bov vented into the air cause the car to run rich loss power and back fire and also shitty fuel economy..

How can venting a BOV into the air make the car run rich? And if it does, couldn't you tune it out by ajusting the AF ratio?

Re: Re: Re: turbo question

drift king, the 91 probe gt's came with a factory turbo my motor is a sohc 2.2l turbo (f2t) i have a ihi rb6 vf11 .54a/r probetalk is a good place to look for turbos for those motor.. most likely you need to make a mainfold and get a turbo to fit it..

as for logik23, venting the bov into the atmospher cause you car to run rich b/c the air is suppose to go bak into the map sesor to get a reading about how much fuel to inject it and b/c no air is present b/c it is vented into the atmosphere the ecu sends more fuel into the chamber to equal it up.. and you car runs rich. and so far no one has been able to tune the air fuel to correct it unless u have stand alone.. btw if you are thinking a apex-i safc will do this your wrong, the afc cannot remap the factory ecu and cannot changer the af ratio..

Re: turbo question

It runs rich because your sensor registered that there was a surplus of air. Then it is taken away through the bov and the computer wants to run it like it had all that air. After that it will run rough untill it recovers.
