door sags top hinge to door weld??
My door is sagging and hitting the pin in the jam. I have moved the door up when open and noted that the top hinge to door has movement. The other side does not. The movement is not much 1/8 inch. Can I have it welded with out removing the door? Is this normal to have the small movement i.e. week metal in the door frame skin? I need some body shop person to help me on this one. Thanks Dave

Re: door sags top hinge to door weld??
The bushings on the door pins are worn out. Brother-in-law's Tahoe has same problem. Think he was quoted $150 per door at an independent body shop to fix them.

Re: door sags top hinge to door weld??
No, I checked the pins and bushing they are tight. How every my door to top hinge has movment and I need to know if it can be spot welded with out taking the door off. I would also like to know if there is a metal plate inside the door skin or is it just the door skin that the hinges are welded to. Thanks for any help. Dave
