1987 clipper cabrio won't start

Have a 1987 Golf Cab. after changing head gasket, seemed to be running OK. Took it for a spin to check it out and oil light and alarm came on. Changed two oil pressure sensors. Took it for a spin, OK initially, but after a while oil light and alarm came on again. Changed oil pump. Won't start now, no spark. Doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders. Think I checked obvious connections. Help, don't know what to do next.

Re: 1987 clipper cabrio

You may have to reset your distributor position. Put engine on TDC #1 & check the distributor position (notch on housing should align with the rotor).
