In general it depends on how the car has been treated. A well maintained TT lasts easily 200k where as one that has been whipped soundly with little maintence is probably as good as dead at 50k. But as for things like sensors going out, wires corroding and all the other general maintence stuff, Zs are great cars. Not much in the way of continous maintainence issues.
As for BOVs: Why? TTs come with the much better recirculating vavles, they prevent compressor surge (like BOVs do) but instead of just venting air into the engine bay they dump in back up at the intake side of the compressor, so no compressed air is lost. With a BOV, that dumped air has already been metered by the air flow sensor and the computer has already issued the fuel injectors the extra fuel for it. In short, BOVs make your car run rich immediately off boost (increasing the chance of engine destroying pre-detonation) whereas the recirulating valves already in your car won't and have the added bonus of not loosing that air that you compressed. So unless you are dying to have your car farting from the nose every time you get off the gas, leave the stock as is ![]() For a much better explaination then mine go here http://twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/bov.html

Not for the American market. In the UK all of the 2+2s were TTs and there was both NA and TT 2+2s in Japan.

Re: just wondering
I like the sound of them too. Scares the shit out of pedestrians...I love it. I know why recircs are better than BOVs in theory....this leavs the questions, why do most really high hp Z guys replace their recircs with BOVs? Should I put a recirc or BOV on my Z31T...I was leaning toward recirc.

If you are going to run like 750 hp then the stock system will have to go but my mentality is to upgrade things that actually give you more power.
As in...go ahead and get a body kit...I'll get some ball bearing turbos thank you...and frankly most body kits for the Z32 are ****ing ricy as hell...absolutely hideous and completely stupid...but thats me and we won't go there.
