05 Order Question - Z51 Performance Package or F55 Magnetic Selective Suspension
I'm having my c6 order submited by my dealer to GM for production this week and am unsure which suspension package I should select. The two options are:
Z51 Performance Package: Specific chocks and springs designed for more control Larger stabilizer bars Larger, cross-drilled brake rotorsand track-tuned linings Engine oil, power steering and transmission coolers Specific higher-grip Goodyear EMT tires with asymmetrical tread patterns Specific six speed manual transmission with quicker gearing OR F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control: First introduced on the 2004 50th anniversary edition vette , this adjustable ride control system utilizes vehicle sensors and a software program to adjust the vehicle chocks for optimal damping on all four wheels independently. Includes driver-selectable Tour and Sport modes. I do not plan to race or ever bring this car to the track however I do like to drive fast. I'm also trying to select all of the high-end options so if i ever resell the car I can consider it "loaded". With that said, what is the "better"/more high-end option the z51 performance package or the f55 magnetic selective ride control option? |

Z51 is pretty much a Z06 suspension, without buying a Z06.

Re: 05 Order Question - Z51 Performance Package or F55 Magnetic Selective Suspension
the z51 one is going to have a much harder ride, and would be better if your going to be racing. If your not going to be racing or anything, get the magnetic one. Its more high-tech and would most likely get you a better resale value
