Re: Specs help

Mph and Kph are very, very different.

100kph is only 62.5mph.
I think 100mph is 160kph. Might have the conversion wrong.

To acheive that in a car that would weight say 1300kgs or 2700 lbs you would need over 300hp. I don't recall an esteem making anywhere near that. That is actually quicker than a WS6 Trans Am can do it factory standard, as quick as the R34 GTR. I think you're slightly off in your calculations. Offense meant.

Ok this is what I've found out about the Esteem

Engine Suzuki Esteem
Type 1.8-Liter DOHC, 4-Cyl., 16-Valve
Block Material Aluminum Alloy
Induction System Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection
Displacement 112 cu. in.
Horsepower (SAE net) 122 hp @ 6,300 rpm
Torque (SAE net) 117 lbs.-ft. @ 3,500 rpm
Bore x Stroke 3.31 in. x 3.27 in.
Compression Ratio 9.8:1

Weights GL G LX
Curb Weight
Manual 2,271 lbs. 2,293 lbs.
Automatic 2,315 lbs. 2,337 lbs.
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating 3,219 lbs 3,219 lbs.
Gross Axle Weight Rating
Front 1,731 lbs. 1,687 lbs.
Rear 1,554 lbs. 1,698 lbs.

With only 122hp there is no way that car makes it from 0-100kph or 0-62.5mph in 5 seconds. It would without a doubt be closer to 7 seconds going down hill.
Someone is pulling your chain or not calculating it right.

B.S!!!!!

My civic with more hp and less weight did in 7sec.
Something closer to 9 or 10 would be more likely.

Like the cargo ramp of an AC-130 Hercules flying at 10,000ft?
