I'm having a big problem with my 93 V6. I took it for a 200 mile highway run on Saturday, she ran like a dream as usual. Sunday morning she wouldnt start, there is no sound coming from the fuel pump at all. While I was turning the engine the fuel gauge was maxed out, but there's only half a tank of gas in there.
After reading some stuff online about how dying pumps sometimes don't operate at all if your battery is low, I tried to jump start her today. At first try she started up, only to die again 3 seconds later. I couldn't start her again after that. It might be related that I only got 260 miles out of my last tank of gas ( I usually run at about 380 miles per tank). Does anyone have any ideas please? I'm really stressing about this one. The past few days she's been starting up for a second when I first try her, but then she always dies after a second. When I plug in a scantool, all that happens is the fan starts up, the Service Engine light is on but not flashing. Help please!

Re: Good 93 V6 suddenly wont start!!!
hmmm...... hard to say without running a diagnostic chart on it, but id say the passkey is messin with ya, if the pump was dead i dont think it would start when you jumped it, so that shouldnt need to be replaced. have you checkd with a test light to see if the pump is gettnig power and ground and isnt running?

Re: Good 93 V6 suddenly wont start!!!
I had considered the PASS key, but my manual says that the passkey system disables the starter as well as the fuel system, and my starter is working fine.
