I have a problem getting my MR2 started...it turns over and turns over and turn over I can smell gas but it wont start... I tried to pop start it with no joy...after changing a few fuses I got power to everything including the cooling fans....but the car refuses to star...I had to change the 120A alternator fuse before all of this...could the problem be my Alternator itself? Is there anyone who can help me?

Hey, did you try spraying Ether into the throttle body. That should get it started. If not, then your problem is much more. The engine is not getting air and such! hope that helps maybe a little!!

Re: Mr2 Mechanical Probelems...
If that is not the prob check all parts of the starting/charging system. Alternator, starter, battery, etc.

Re: Mr2 Mechanical Probelems...
I think I have narrowed it down to the distributer cap and rotor or maybe even the coil pack...any other suggestions?
