Angry Front Wheel Bearings and all Roters

I am wondering if anyone knows of any recalls or of this problem I have. Today I took our 2001 Chevy Blazer to have brakes put on it as it was winning but I figured a bearing, well my mechanic called me and said that all 4 roters when he pulled them off were all loaded with rust on the inside so they could no be turned and the two front wheel bearings were gone also. My husband only has had this car 6 months drove it only 4 as 2 months it was being repaired since i cracked it up but the bearings and roters had nothing to do with the accident. My mechanic said something is definately wrong with this because for the time we had it and the year it is so bad. The wheel bearings are 135.00 each and the roters mabye 35 or 40 dollars each. I am just wondering if anyone had this problem or are there any recalls. If so could you email me at [email protected]. thanks so much.

Just because the wreck didn't directly hit the front end brakes does not mean that they weren't tweaked in the crash. Where was vehicle damaged? (Front, rear, side?)

Front Bearings and Roters

The car was hit in the front I was coming out of our road turning left and got hit head on. When we took it to the shop I told him I was hearing noise from one of the wheels, he checked and said it was ok. He had the car for about 1 1/2 months we got it back in April sometime. Just recently when you put the brakes on and turned to the right or left the ABS kicked in for no reason on a dry road. When our mechanic took all the wheels off he said the inside roters were so full of rust it just fell off and could not be turned. Do you suggest I bring it back to the body shop or call them about it? thanks so much.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings and all Roters

Car wrecks wreak havoc everywhere. The people fixing them only do what HAS to be done in order for the car to work. It is a huge rip-off with how much we have to pay the dang insurance companies. Front end wrecks are the worst anyways. There are usually damaged parts and pieces throughout the engine compartment. You will probably have to suck it up and try to fix it all yourself. Try calling your insurance company...don't know how far it will get you though.

Good Luck
