driver power window not working
I am not sure whether I have a working powerwindow motor, or not.
Here is what I did to test it: I applied 12 v to the motor, by applying a ground wire and a positive battery terminal wire (which I checked with my meter for 12 volt) to the two pins coming out of the motor. Nothing happened. What am I supposed to expect? I mean if the motor was good, is the motor supposed run? And if so, is it supposed to bring UP or DOWN the window? Also, I put my ohmmeter to the two pins coming out of the motor. And there is a good continuity. Does that mean the motor is good? thank you for help! |

Re: driver power window not working
If you apply power on term and ground on another that s means you have bad motor

power window motor not working
Even if the motor was working and good, would it move the window up or down, when I apply the 12 volt to the motor terminals?
How would the motor know when to move up the window, and when to move down the window? thanks |

Power window
Mine did the same thing. I could hear a clicking when pressing down side of switch. That told me that it was in my switch. I took it apart and cleaned the contacts and I also changed the little clear rockers that works the up and down contacts. I put the right rocker in left rocker switch and viceversa and saved myself 80.00. Been working ever since.
