hmm its not doing it anymore, the previous owner did warn me about it, but its a rare occurance. still, its kinda funny, cus i was driving how from work, in a 55 were everyone else does 65 and i could only do roughly 35-45. lol, i was being beat my a semi. kinda funny but the thought of dumping money into it, isnt all that funny. =)

im not a mechanic but im sure it could be a number of sensors that tell your car what kind of air-fuel mixture should be goin on. oxygen sensors might be my next check.

When O2 sensors go bad, those are one of the factors that promote knock... Im pretty sure that wouldnt restrict RPM after 2,000.
I am pretty sure it is the MAF. What year is your Zed? I may be able to help you better if I know more. -Wes

OMG i answered this with the first post, there is something wrong with the AFM, whether it be the wiring or the sensor itself. Test it out the ass or just replace it. People have used a switch to cut power to this to put the car in valet mode, so they cant go above 2 grand, but thats beside the point the point is u can get one for 20 bucks at a junkyard, or the connection might just be loose and that is why it works sometimes but not others.
