97 dodge cup holders
my 97' 1500 cup holders are at the top of the dash. being at the top allows for the cups to fall when I hit the turns.
I see in '98 they moved the cup holders in the lower section of the dash. does anyone know if the '98 lower center section of the dash will fit in the '97? Looks to be about the same size piece, the '98 just has the drop down cup holders built into the section.

Good question. Even if it would be a direct replacement, what about what is behind the panel now. There would have to be space behind the panel to allow the holder to fold in. Is the 96 and 97 interior the same other than the cup holder? I'm pretty sure there's other differences.

It sucks, I know in my truck if you tried to drive around town and drink some beers, they stick out above the dash where everyone can see...

Not only that, but if you leave the truck for 5 minutes sitting in the sun, you come back and the drinks are hot. That's the worst place for a cupholder. Also, it's just about impossible for me to see the stereo and change cd's when the cupholder is out, because the cupholder is right above the deck...
