Re: 944 weight
ratio like... percent up front/percent in the back?
My '83 is like 51/49...yours should be really close to that. |

Re: 944 weight
Best way to tell is to have your car corner balanced by a race shop. They will tell you the total vehicle weight, side to side weight, end to end weight and the weight with you in it. Its a couple hundred bucks but its worth it just to know.

Re: 944 weight
51/49 is about right. Thinking of buying one? It's been discussed here what to look for.

Re: 944 weight
Ok according to the labeling on my car an '87 N/A
(cant think of the name of it- its next to the fuse/relay box under the hood with the build date on it) It says 1588 ibs-Front 1985 ibs- Rear And a total GVWR-3440 ibs But ive heard that the GVWR includes all the seats filled with a 150ib person (150 *4=600) Plus what the manufact. thinks is the weight of the car fully loaded with cargo (for my cousins '96 Pontiac Formula its over 300ibs!!!) So its safe to say drop the car 800ibs from what the GVWR is (3440-800=2640ibs). Now whats true with Pontiac might not be true with Porsche. Im not sure. Ive been a V-8 (Ford) guy all my life so while ive always wanted one until now ive always worked on cars going for 1/4 speed. Not weight ratios. Sorry if im no help
