Just a couple of ?'s

Hey all! I'm new to the board... I'm 16, live in IL, and deliver pizzas in my car ^_^

I've got a '95 SL here. Pearl white with all black interior.

First off... When I bought the car a month or so ago the shift boot was completely cracked and just... crap. I can not for the life of me find another shift boot for it. I've tried ordering one from modacar.com (never using them again... they sent the wrong color, and when I tried to figure out how to refund it they transferred me to people who couldn't speak english 3 times, so I had no clue...) Annoying... but oh well ^_^

Anyway, I have called the local Mitsubishi dealership... conversation went like this "Hi sir, I was curious to whether or not you could order me a shift boot for a 95 3000GT" His response- "Those are the wide ones right?"

I couldn't help myself from laughing, and he said he couldn't help. But I was thinking, maybe the Eclipse shift boots are identical. So anyone know where I could perhaps get one?

And second- I just got done ordering the clear headlights from 3SX, so I can't wait to get those. And I would REALLY like to get some halogen/blue headlights, but I definitely don't have the money for a full conversion (couple hundred right?) So does anyone know where I could perhaps get look alikes that aren't clearly dumb looking? I love the look of the lights (I always drive with all 4 lights on) But I just want to stand out from the endless dull looking yellowish blah lights. (Plus my dad drives a '04 Nissan 350Z, and the wife has a '04 Z4 BMW... and every time I see them drive by or see the lights I can't help myself from wanting them on mine) Oh sorry, another question about that. Since I always have my fog lights on, do they make bulbs for that too? It'd look pretty weird having two different colored lights

And lastly- What do you call the windows on the side? You know the small ones between the side windows and rear windshield? (Can't believe I just asked that) Because I was trying to perhaps find a few decals for those. And I'd also really like to put a Mitsubishi/3000GT decal on the rear windshield, does anyone here have any pictures available of examples?

Sorry for asking all of the questions, but I'm new and have been reading a lot of topics, and it seems a lot of people here are quite helpful (Yogs, young, and igovert come to mind) So any help would be appreciated.

Thanx much.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the decals either, but to each his own. I honestly havn't looked much into bulbs or lights replacements, but I can understand your desire for a different shade and more intensity.
As far as shift boots, I thought they sold some on 3sx.

it will be very difficult to get your foglights the same color as your headlights. Mine headlights have the HID blue tint to them "Xenon Whites" and the fog lights are plain white. Stock lights have a yellowish tint to them so you can still see a difference between the white fog lights and the yellowish tint ones. But actually, it does not look bad at all having blue heads and white fogs, i've seen some of the mercedes come stock like that.

For the shift boot, well, first of all, your dealership is retarded, i know my mitsu dealership is really good and are able to get any part you want. As far as the boot goes though, i'd either order one from moboleathers.com or redlinegoods.com. I've heard good things about moboleathers, and i have redlinegoods one in mine, and i think its a good one too, so i guess its all up to preference. From what i understand, you can choose what color boot you want and then you can have a different color stitching.

As for the decals, i wouldnt go and start putting them on my car unless #1, you belong to some sort of club or sponsorship and you are putting them on your car as part of it, or #2, your getting paid to do so.

Thanks for the reply. I love that picture of your car, can't wait to get those clear headlights.

Yes, my Mitsubishi dealership out here is quite retarded, I'll check out those sites you mentioned here in a moment.

Yogs, thanks for all those links, definitely what I was looking for (bulb/light wise) I was hesitant about the decals. I've been searching the internet for pics of people who have them, but keep the nice classy look of our GT's (I hate the rice burner look)

Anyway, thanks again for all the links. Appreciate it.
