Re: i need help!!!!

Sorry man you are not going to shut them up. Your ride is to heavy and no matter how much power you have you have to get it moving to top speed very fast. Just make it sound great and look sharp then tell them to eat crap. You have a ride you should be proud of there rice will be dead and gone when it is over 30 years old, Again enjoy what you have.

Re: i need help!!!!

hell you have a nova, look at what they have
that 350 4 barrel should wipe the floor with them
stock, do exhaust, go with the 40 series flomaster
maybe a tune up if it needs it, and if you can afford
it get a set of hooker headers. those mods should
help a lot. but what can a stock honda do? the
spoilers and their fart can exhaust can help
them, the only advantage that they have on you
is that their cars are lighter.

Re: i need help!!!!

well you skiped one major part of making power. the cam. you can easily make alot more power with just adding a cam. you have pretty much everything else you need to make a cam swap logical. the only thing i would say though is a bigger carb too. and yeah if you make it sound good/mean they wont want to race you anymore. its gay, i drive my dads 67 malibu around that has relativly ok paint except for the odd fender that we had to put on, stock 283 and powerglide(matching numbers and all), it doesnt sounds anything other than stock but looks ok and everyone wants to race it, now my 68 chevelle that is in my sig, doesnt look the greatest, but sounds good as hell and no one wants to race it, and i can easily walk away from 95% of cars that will want to play. the only things that want to run my 68 are the faster things like WRX's and sutch, i cant even catch up with one of those until about 65MPH but then i just walk away. im running the 40 series flomasters like someone mentioned before. swap the cam and muflers and your good to go.

Re: i need help!!!!

yeah if you have the money, your next thing should probably be the heads, if they are stock. thats pretty much the last thing engine wise you need to make some really good power.

Re: i need help!!!!

well as far as cam, there are alot to chose from. personaly i like comp cams. they have been making cams for ever and know there crap. if you wanted you can call them up and ask, they have a help line or whatever they call it, and you can call them up and tell them what you have and what you want to do and they can help pic out a cam and tell you about how much power your making. i myself am running there xtreme energy 262. its a pretty good all around cam.

as far as heads, if money is a problem you might want to stick with something like a set of vortec heads. then you would need a new intake though to fit the vortec head design. you can get them for like 500-600 complete ready to go from GM. otherwise places like scoggin-dickey part center off kits with the heads and intake and all the gaskets and everything i thinkg, and for anywhere from 700-1200 i think. http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...art&catid=2172
a set of those and a new cam and your looking at probably about a grand and making some good power. depending on the cam probably somewhere between 300-400HP. more or less depending on the cam and how good your engine is running.
