Unhappy climate control blower

i have a problem with the climate control airconditioning blower. sometimes the fan speed becomes fast and some times slow. it becomes really irritating. i set the fan speed low and it becomes fast without indicating on the climate control display. and sometimes it starts working absolutely fine. can anyone tell me whats the fault with my x5 climate control.in clear words, i cant control the fan speed sometimes.help me please so i can get it fixed without the mechanics experimenting on my x5. thanks

Could it be that you have it set to "Auto"? That would make it change speeds as it is trying to cool/warm the car.

What are your settings?

I had the same problem with my 2001 X5 (and yes it was annoying). The dealer recognized it as an easy fix of a bad resistor. That fixed the problem.
