I've am becoming really instrested in designing cars instead of drawing them. I have been doing a sketch or two every day or two. I was wondering if everyone could please post links to car design sites with lots of pictures.

Some of my sketches are quite horrible, others are decent. They are all very very very rough, and I spend about 10 minutes on them. They are just quick design sketches.

I might post them up later, I have about 50 sketches.

Re: Car design site depository

www.designerspace.com

Try there, a bunch of people's work. A lot of crap, but some of it really stands out. Like you said, CDN is great. Check the Directory section, it's awesome. GTM, practicing sketch after sektch is the best possible way to learn. A strong perspective matched with perfect proportions can blow a nice design but poorly drawn car out of the water. Design is something that will take time later on down the road (I personally still haven't met the water level of the iceberg). Don't worry if your designs are wonky and crap at first, that's natural. Just keep sketching!

Re: Car design site depository

Heres a big general design site with a lot of different stuff. At first I thought it was kind of crappy, then I realize there are over 15,000 Portfolios.

Re: Car design site depository

This is a cool 3D concept car site: http://www.3dcar-gallery.com/2003_ga...concept-01.htm

It usually has a couple of angles for each car which is useful.
