question for anyone with a '86 IROC

I had an '86 IROC. (actually one of 250 made in California with no decale on the side and Z28 lables in place of all the IROC lables) Anywho, this was the only 80's that they didn't make a 350 for and it was the slowest IROC they made. The reason is the 5.0 it had was made with a smaller cam then the rest of the years. I am curious if anyone has had one and just swapped the cam... if so how much power did you get from it afterward?

Re: question for anyone with a '86 IROC

In 87 they offered 2 different camshaft grinds for the 5.0. That was the only difference between the automatic and the manual cars with 5.0Ls. Swapping in the camshaft from a manual transmission car should bring the car upto the same hp.
