My Drift project!

a few pix of my drift shell.....thought i would post these.

Took them about 2 months ago with my phone camera, so quality isn't that good. This car was sitting on an old ladies driveway for about 5 years before i even noticed it.Damn thing was only 2 blocks away.It has full interior and a slight dent on the rear quarter panel. We had to push this damn thing across a major street to get it back to my house. We stopped pushing it in the dessert so i could take a quick few pics.To bad i broke my damn phone later that day.Barely got new phone shell to put in my memory car back in and get these pix up.

Will keep you guys updated on this Drift project as it comes along. And when i get a better digital camera.

Ahh there, fixed the pics so they work.

Looks good, not bad pictures for a camera phone either.

Good Luck with your '86.

Hey thanx redneck for fixing the pix.

Yea the pix aren't too bad for a camera phone. But i had to stand perfectly still just to get them in this quality.

An yea guys, it is an Sr5 shell, you can probably tell by the hubs found on it.

At the moment w have our 4agze along with tranny an wiring harness. It's gonna be a bitch to re-wire everything so this project should be done by the end of summer. Also i'm awaiting my jdm gts rebuilt rear end with lsd.It was a steal at only, and get this, 40 bucks for the whole differential. My homeboys over at BestWay motorsports really hooked me up with this.So after the motor swap along with suspension upgrades i just need to do a small portion of body work.If you check out the 2nd pix and look at the driver side rear quarter panel, you can see the bondo job someone did on it.Supposedly some guy backed up into it an told the lady he "fixed" it.To bad he did a shyt job on it.

Car has no motor or trans. It's just a shell with a perfect interior.Scooped it up for $500.

If you look in the second pix, we stopped before that street to take pix, then pushed it across the street.Have you guys ever had 4 people sitting at a light just staring at you?

Uh oh, Bunta's drunk again.

Looks like a good start for an 86 project.
If I were you I'd go get an engine outta a AE101 next.

Re: My Drift project!

as long as you can find parts the choice doesn't matter. Sounds like a good project to me.

An ae101 20valve? uh no thianks.I hear those a alot more difficult to convert since they a front wheel drive.I'll stick with my 4agze motor.I'm also getting a new driveshaft through my hook ups at bestway motorsports.Gonna be a light wieght driveshaft.

Also we just ordered a stage 2 clutch to put the power down and new flywheel. At the moment, we are looking at diff. suspensions right now...........n e one offer some good advice on a good suspension?
