HELP! low oil pressure!

After bringing my car back from the mechanic, the low oil pressure light turned on. So I have a few questions:

What causes low oil pressure? Could it be caused by a leaking oil pan.

What happens if I keep on driving like this?

How can I fix low oil pressure?

Anything will help, thank you.

Re: HELP! low oil pressure!

is it just indication or is it low oil pressure ? does the engine make a knocking or ticking noise,if so it may be low oil press. is the light on right away or does it take awhile untill the oil is hot ....bad bearings will cause the oil press to be low when it gets hot....the only way a leaking oil pan will cause low oil press is if your out of oil ...

I hear no knocking noises, and I have enough oil. I have a moroso oil pan with cap. of 6.5 qt. What else could it be. What I have noticed is that sometimes when I step on the gas hard, it will start to fade a little, and when I shift it will turn solid again. After I shift again it will start to fade. At idle it is solid.

Re: HELP! low oil pressure!

its could be a bad sensor, or bad wiring
