cam walking out of head into sensor

first of all im an old auto mechanic ...got out of it in the 80s.... i need some help from some one with head experiance... 95 neon sohc oil leak from the camshaft sensor...the cam wore out the sensor to the point it started to lose oil ...i removed the rockers and can move the cam about 3/16 past the head with the sensor removed ... the cam gear is tight and not wore out. has anyone run into this problem

so whats your problem? if you want to solve the leaking cam sensor just replace the little green ring that goes in the sensor, it happens quite often with neons

the problem is the camshaft is tearing up the sensor because it is shifting i can hold the sensor up to the light and look thru it
