interior lights stay on

all interior lights stay on after entering the vehicle and continue to stay on while driving. The switch is off. I read earlier that it could be a door latch switch. If this was so would the door ajar light come on? Because that is not happening in this case. Also I read earlier to take apart the door panel and unplug the switch. After I unplug the switch is there a time frame before the lights go off or do they go off immediately? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: interior lights stay on

Posting the year would go along way in helping you. If you want help the users don't always feel like looking in your profile to find out what year, make and model you have.

I believe without doing any testing it would be hard to guess what is causing your problem. But I have had a problem like yours in the shop and the correction wound up being a new BCM was installed, programed and reconfigured.
