Bolt Patterns

Are the bolt patterns in the head if the B18A, B18B, and B18C the same? I wanted to use an intake manifold designed for a gsr on my 91 b18a. Is it possible?

Re: Bolt Patterns

99% sure it will fit because all B-series manifolds are compatable.. Try taking measurements to see.

Re: Bolt Patterns

I believe the GSR manifold is the only one not compatible with the other B-series heads. The GSR manifold has the dual-runner design and the bolt pattern is a little different. The B18A, B18B, and B16A manifolds are compatible with each other I believe.

He'll probably have to swap a GSR head onto his motor to accomplish this, which means wiring in VTEC and swapping the ECU if you want it all to work properly. Basically an LS/VTEC with a GSR head and manifold.

Personally I would just use the B18B manifold.

Re: Bolt Patterns

Thanks for the info. Any recomendation for a head swap without having to spend $1500 to for a full ls/vtec conversion? Thanks again.

How the hell do you figure 1500 bucks? A GE vtec conversion kit has all the shit you need (oil line, oil filter adapter plate, head gasket, dowel pins, etc), toss in your VTEC head, a new ECU and you're gravy. You can spend less than 1000 and get it done.

where do you guys get yoru info from, damn

b18a, b18b, b20 intake manifold are the same
b16a, b17a, and type r intake manifolds are the same
b18c is different from the rest

so a b18c intake manifold will not fit on the b18a or b's because the bolt pattern is different
