ohio motorcycle help

I am almost 15 years old and live in the glorious state of ohio. I need some help with my motorcycle license. I cant find anywhere on the web where it says the minimum age for getting my license, but i want to get it as soon as possible. Does anyone out there know how old i have to be to get my license and what i need to do to get it?

Also i am saving my money and planning on gettin a used kawasaki ninja 250, with under 5000 miles. Im saving and plan to spend about $2500 on it. any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Also, look into the motorcycle ohio program. It is a good course but hard to get into. Good luck.

law requires you to be 16 and older to ride a motorcycle. anyone under 18 must take the motorcycle class in order to ride a motorcycle. you of course need a drivers license first to be able to get a motorcycle endorsement.

You might want to check on that. It's been a while, but I was able to get my motorcycle license right when I turned 16. I couldn't get a driver's license yet because I needed drivers education. So I was actually riding my MC to drivers ed class. I think in OH all you have to do is pass the written and "road" test (cones) and you can get a license. May have changed, this was back in the early 80s.

A little off subject, but back in the good old days (early 1980s), West Virginia didn't have a M/C license requirement. Just needed your drivers license to ride.
