speedometer cable

Anyone know where i can find one that fits my 90 ex 4dr? Anything i should know before going ahead with replacing it? It makes a screeching noise in the dash when you go over 25 mph.

Are you sure its not the speedo gauge it self and not the cable. If the noise is coming form the dash and your speedometer is working i would check the speedometer it self... my speedometer makes a grinding noise when its cold out, any other time you hear nothing

hmmz, well the gauge doesn't move from 0 till u hit about 20 mph. Not really sure. But either way, gotta open the dash to find out. I might let a repair place deal with it ; p

Re: speedometer cable

40-50 bux i think it was - they charged me $168 to buy it and put it in with 1.5 hours of labor. Could be 60 bux or so

Re: speedometer cable

Found OEM cable for 22.47 @ Hondaautoparts.com.

I think local dealer will have it for a similar price. GL
