vibrating gas pedal

I have a 2002 xterra se with the supercharger. When the gas pedal is pressed down past a certain point, when the rpm's reach about 3k, there is a vibration in the gas pedal. I've never owned a car with a supercharger on it and I think this is the supercharger kicking in at higher revs. Is this a normal feeling for any of you out there with a supercharger?
