93 Ranger won't start/fuel issues?

My 93 Ranger 3.0L won't start. It cranks, sort of starts, and then behaves as if it were out of gas and then stalls. Any ideas?

could be lots of things.start with fuel pump.turn on key and listen by gas tank for pump noise.it only makes noise 4 a couple seconds till pressure builds up.have you done any tune up or replaced any parts?spark plugs, wires, fuel filter?

I HAVE A 93 SPLASH AND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT WOULD TURN OVER STRONG BUT IT WONT START. I COULDNT EVEN POP THE CLUTCH TO GET IT TO START. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY COULDNT EVEN FIGURE IT OUT, AND THEY HAD IT FOR 3 DAYS. I PUT IN A NEW FUEL PUMP RELAY AND POWER RELAY FUSES AND SHE'S BEEN RUNNING EVER SINCE. THE TWO RELAYS RAN ME ABOUT $10 BUCKS. GIVE IT A SHOT, CHEAP PROCESS OF ELIMINATION. GOOD LUCK.
